Summer Season Preperations

The Summer Season is just around the corner. Part one of the Summer Program can be viewed HERE

Sailing Instructions

Can be viewed at 2019-20 SI's.  Please make sure that you have a copy of the latest Sailing Instructions on board especially as this includes details on the Courses to be sailed.

Cat 5 Safety Declarations

Can be downloaded at Cat 5 Safety Dec Form. For the Summer Season we require that a Cat 5 Safety Declaration be submitted.
Ideally, we would like to receive these before the first race of the season which is on Friday 11th October however, we will accept till the 31st October – after this time penalties will apply!  Once completed please send to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.;
Next year we are hoping to have an online fillable form available from Australian Sailing which will make things a whole lot easier.

AMS Certificates

Need to be re-validated on the 30th September. As soon as you have received your new certificate please send a copy to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

This season we will be extracting AMS results from our Friday Twilight Pursuit finish times so what a great reason to get measured up for AMS. If you are interested, please drop us a line and we can provide you with the details on what is required.

We can report that Hoppy and Robyn on La Mer have made it to Vanuatu and are very much enjoying their time in this tropical paradise.
One of the highlights so far is the trip up Mt Yasur on the island of Tanna.  Amazing to be able to stand on the edge of an active volcano and look into the centre of the earth!

Mustang Sally are continuing their travels north to Lizard Island.  They have made it to Port Douglas and are enjoying plenty of hot kiting action at 4-mile beach – no crocodiles spotted yet except at the Croc Farm!

Hamilton Island Race Week

Big congratulations to Michel Van der Zwaard and the team on Back in Black with a 1st Place in Multihull Racing Division.
These results are based on the Offshore Multihull Rule measurement system (OMR) with Back in Black not only winning the Division but also well ahead of the other Extreme 40’s competing.

So very proud and thankful. Not only did we win 3 races and overall 1st in the Multihull Racing Division, but we also won the very special “Don Maclean Trophy” at Hamilton Island Race Week 2019.

A team of Champions became a Champion Team.
