Last Week's Racing

Friday 29th November:

Sport Phillip Friday Twilight Pursuit - Race #8

It was not only great to see 24 boats out for our Friday Night race but even better to have 11 of our yachts being helmed by female skippers.  It was decided during the late afternoon, by our Race Team, to go with Course #5 due to the light winds which were forecast to further decrease as the evening went on.  We were very lucky in the end to pick this course as the tower was contacted by Lonsdale VTS advising that Channel Mark 25 was off limits due to the large procession of tugs and a drilling rig that was travelling down the channel.

Thanks to Tanina for this week's photos

Sunday 1st December - Club Championship Race #3 Long Distance Race

We had four hardy boats and crews take to the water on Sunday morning with a Strong Wind Warning issued and a solid NW wind blowing for most of the race.  Code Flag "Y" was deployed indicating that all crews were to wear their PFD's.  Mr Bojangles decided that enough was enough after their first lap and retired from the field of play while the remaining three persisted to complete the 22NM course.  Well done to everyone for competing and getting out for what was a pretty cool, lumpy and rather wet day on the water.

Congratulations to:
