Friday 22nd November - Friday Twilight Pursuit Race #7
How good was Friday Night! Finally we were blessed with some good weather for our Friday Pursuit Series and everyone was definitely hanging out for a sail as we had one of our biggest fleets ever with 32 yachts taking to the water. Unfortunatley the breeze died towards the end of the race which mean't a number of yachts did not finish by sunset but think most were just happy to be able to get out for a sail! Michel on Back in Black seems keen to push his Extreme 40 to the limit and is now trying to lap the fleet by completing two laps of the Friday course so if he goes past you twice you now know why!
Congratulations to:

Big thanks to our volunteers of RO Stocksie who was ably assisted by Amanda and the crew from Fransiska.
After some radio transmissions heard in the tower during the race we thought it would be worth bringing to everyone's attention Section 13 of the Keelboat Sailing Instructions:
13. AREAS THAT ARE OBSTRUCTIONS
The Mussel Farm, bound by the four Yellow Clearance/Special Purpose Marks, shall be deemed an Exclusion Zone and not be entered. [DP]

ORCV News
Safety Beach SC was well represented in the ORCV events held last weekend.
In the Coastal Sprint Race down to Western Port and return we had both Maverick and Shimmer competing. This was a great effort by Steve and the Shimmer Crew as they also fitted in our Friday Pursuit Race before heading down to Queenscliff for the 4am start on Saturday morning! Congratulations to Maverick with a 3rd in IRC
The ORCV also ran their Latitude Race this weekend and was great to see Glenn & Madison Fitzgerald competing with their team on Summer Lease and even better to come away with a third in PHS.
