Southern Mains & Drains Holiday Series - Race #6
Thanks to the Tower Team of Judy and Michael from Verve.
We must also thank Clarky from Southern Mains and Drains for kindly spoonsoring this series and the CASH prizes for the Race to the Middle which is definitely one of the favourites on our racing calendar.
All monies that were received by the skippers that did turn up for presentations yesterday were donated to the Bushfire Relief Fund.
We would also like to thank Ian Pearse and Peter Russell who didn't turn up to collect their winnings as this money has also been donated to the Busfire Relief Fund. In total we contributed around $500 from Sunday's race!

Just thought I’d update you on what’s happening.
The regatta is again being held over 3 days from the 21st - 23rd February with the first race being the Twilight Sternchaser on the Friday evening. On Saturday we have the long distance race down to Blairgowrie and return, which iseems to be loved by all, and a shorter course race on Sunday. Instead of making the major prize being the overall series we are now making each race a stand alone event with its own sponsor naming rights. This should give those that can’t do every race a better chance of sailing success in individual races. There will still be a trophy for the combined overall series winners. Great trophies and prizes for all the divisions!
We have brought back Jukebox Racket playing on the Friday night as they did last year as everyone loved their quirky versions of 50s,60s and 70s hits.
Saturday night we have the famous Captain Spaulding and band that are GUARANTEED to get every one up and dancing with their brilliant covers.
We have updated our marquee to make it a little larger for better access to the dance floor and views of the live music.
We have been very lucky to have all our previous sponsors sign up again for this years regatta but would love some more sponsors, even if it is for only $500 we would appreciate it and would go toward making the SP20 even better. Please contact me if sponsorship is something you would like to undertake for exposure to thousands of locals and sailors bay wide.
The meals during the regatta will be something special with David Snooks fabulous menu and friendly staff, we are very lucky to have his expertise for our regatta.
We have yachts from BYS & MYC joining us with a large group from RMYS coming down as well.
ALL members are welcome.
Could I please ask that all the SBSC Keelboat Skippers enter as soon as possible as it gives support and confidence for others who are looking to join us for this great annual event.
Thankyou for all your support, particularly the many members that work so very hard to make this great regatta the success it’s become.
Andrew Clark. ( Clarky)
