Please dig deep and give to this very worthy cause and the amazing trip that Mono is about to undertake. DONATE HERE
Thanks to those that have very generously donated to my charity to help raise funds and awareness for Challenge a Cancer Support Network. As it’s been well advertised, I’m walking to Sydney from Melbourne to try to achieve a fundraising goal of $250,000. It looks as though we will be leaving on the 29th of August now, to ensure we arrive in Sydney on the 13th of September to coincide with a fundraising event to be facilitated by David Jones, to assist me in reaching my fundraising goal. This event will be attended by 700 delegates for an international department store conference, hosted by David Jones. David Jones CEO has very kindly offered this as a sponsorship deal. If you would like to help me to reach my fundraising goal, my link to my web page is above. I am eternally grateful to the Executive Committee by allowing me to continually pepper the members with details about my walk. Below are a few photos from my Gym and the results of climbing the stair master for 1 hour and climbing 264 floors or 3700 steps.
What's On @ SBSC in August
Please make note of the dates for the two Man Over Board Training Presentations at the club (see flyer below). These are both being presented by Simon Dryden who is head trainer for the ORCV. Even if you have already undertaken a safety course or previously experienced a man overboard rescue, this is a great opportunity to refresh your knowledge or learn something new. Please encourage your crew members to attend – after all, rescue is a team effort!
Bookings can be made via the Try Booking Link
Please note that it is required that all boats intending to race complete and submit an MOB Practice Declaration for the 2022-23 season. These forms are available HERE
