We received some very sad news this week with the passing of Tony Grieves. Tony was a member of Safety Beach Sailing Club for many years and during his early years at the club was a well known catamaran sailor in the OTB fleet. You could always tell when Tony was visiting the club as his much loved Trans Am was parked out the front.
Our sincerest condolences to Maureen and the Grieve family during this very tough time.
Getting back to racing is inching closer all the time. The Keelboat Sailing Instructions for 2021-22 have now been posted, These will come into effect at the start of our summer season so please go and have a look at Keelboat 2021-22 SI's
As mentioned in last week's report there are a number of changes so please make sure you study them in detail in particular the new courses that we will be using this coming season and make sure you discard any old copies of SI's and course sheets that you may have loitering onboard.
As soon as we get the green light to get back to training & racing we are all ready to go. Watch this space for further announcements

Hidden Harbour Services - Marina berth rental & sales service in Martha Cove
Fellow SBSC members and sponsors Nick & Fiona Jones have been busy sailing on their dream holiday but have also been busy leasing and selling Hidden Harbour berths while they’re away.
Hidden Harbour Services was established in partnership with the developers to offer the owners and users of the marina a dedicated point of contact for leasing and sales. We now manage the leasing of over 80 berths with very limited vacancy. The market has also been very strong for sales with 13 berths being sold this year alone. These have been mostly to our database and our wait-lists which has meant they have been quick transactions for our vendors. Nick and I are dedicated and really enjoy what we do which in turn gets our customers the best outcomes.
Being fellow boaties they understand your boats needs and can also help with identifying the preferred berth orientation for your type of boat. They can even help with setting dock-lines and for those new to boating give some practical handling tips on how best to berth your boat.
Many of our cruising folk have now turned the corner and are now making there way sound and pondering what to do with their boats with the current border closures and restrictions.
Jen and Jeff on Tumi were lucky enough to spend some time at Middle Percy island - one of the highlights of the Queensland Coast and a must stop for cruising yachts.
