Whats on @ SBSC
Unfortunately, with upstairs still closed for dining as per the lock-down restrictions – we will be operating “Take-Away” from the Kiosk again this Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am to 3pm. Huge thank you to all who came by last weekend – your support and encouragement is what will get us through this again.”
When you drop by this weekend you will note that the club looks a little different as the works to exterior of the club building have commenced. See below some pics from Deirdre Snooks and Ann Matheson for those that are not lucky enough to be able to visit at the moment.

Well folks, it looks like we can’t cop a break! If it’s not the weather, it’s the lock-down!
The one positive we can take out of last weekend was that even if we were allowed to sail, there was no wind, so in effect we didn’t miss out on anything! Ah well, it as worth a try and at least it was nice weather to spend at home.
Unfortunately due to the extended lock down period there will again be NO SAILING this Sunday and hopefully we will be allowed to get back out on the water for the next race in the Winter Series which is scheduled for the 20th June. There will be more news on this in next week's news.
Cheers, Pete Chippy
Keelboat & Tower News
Unfortunately due to lock-down restrictions there was no sailing last weekend and there will be NO SAILING this Sunday (6th June) due to the extension of the lock-down restrictions.so our next race, if all goes well, will be on the 20th June.
Sunday 20th June - BMWS Pursuit Race #1
|First Warning Signal;||9:55H Pursuit Start with Extra's Optional|
|Tower Duty:||Amanda Malin and Graeme Ainslie|
|Results and Tower Assist:||Elaine & Mal|
This will be the first of our Brass Monkey Winter Series Races. These races have a Pursuit Start and are typically use the mid-length courses in our SI's. The big advantage of really fun part of this series is that you are able to use extra's such as Spinnakers, Code 0's etc. If you DO intend to run any "Extra's" sails then please notify the Safety Beach Tower when signing on for the race and add 4-minutes to your nominated starting time.
