OTB Report
I hope you all had a happy and safe Chrissy break. I know those that were around the club all had a great time. The first half of our Christmas series has been a great success, even though Sunday was a blowout, we made the most of it with an impromptu working bee. Monday and Tuesday were much better, with shifty up and down winds but nice weather and plenty of boats, including some visitors from McCrae in 3 Sharpies, an A class and a Sabre, our fleet was 16 on Monday and about 24 on Tuesday. Lots of good close racing was had in all classes except Div. 1 where we only had one entry! Come on kids, get those parents cracking, it’s great sailing and if there were a few more of you, apart from giving Aurelia some competition, one of you might have reminded her to put the bungs in! Oh dear.
Just remember, while this is a trophy series, the emphasis is on having a good time and going by the number of people in the club after racing, that was certainly the case. So if you couldn’t, or just didn’t come for a sail, well it sucks to be you! Next week I’ll be back at work so it sucks to be me. That leaves a spot at the back of the fleet for someone else. So get yourself sorted and come and join in. Racing is on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 3.00pm, I guarantee you won’t regret it.
Lastly, thanks to Andrew Mono Martin for organizing the working bees on Sunday and Tuesday and to those that came along to help out. A load of jobs were ticked off and the building and yard are looking great .
That’s enough from me,
See you Sunday.

Keelboat & Tower News
Please note that there is a Change to Sailing Instructions which will come into effect from the 1st January 2021. Details are posted on the club website and will be sent via separate email to our Keelboat skippers and crews this week but in essence the main changes relate to the new Racing Rules of Sailing which comes into effect on the 1st Jan. We have also updated our Club Course to remove the 'Red Pile'. Please make sure you that you have a copy of the new Course Sheet on board and ensure that you dispose of any old copies as we would hate to see you heading off on the wrong direction in 2021.
Keelboat Captain Report
Congratulations to all of our members that did the Cock of Bay race and to Tassie. Looked pretty tough going and not for the faint hearted.
The reason is to ease congestion in front of the channel because of our growing fleet numbers and volume of private vessels entering and exiting the marina. Please make sure you that you have a copy of the new Course Sheet on board and ensure that you dispose of any old copies as we would hate to see you heading off on the wrong direction in 2021.
We’ve had a pretty up and down start to the season but hopefully with 2021 we can get some consistency in the conditions and keep building our fleet. Look forward to seeing you all out on the water and back in the club for those all important stories of what went wrong and what we’ll do the next week to improve our position.
Cheers
