Friday Twilight Pursuit Series #2 - Mustang Sally Trophy Race
What do we need to do to get a result this summer season! Despite the forecast looking like we were going to be in for a ripper sail to celebrate our 10th Anniversary it was all a bit too little and too late with no yachts finishing the course before the sunset time limit. It was however very pleasing to see 31 yachts take to the water for this very special evening in the SBSC calendar. We will be doing it all again this week - see details below!
For some more great shots of the fleet on Friday night please click on THE LINK. Big thanks to Chris Parks from Effective Working Image.
We would also like to thank the very patient Race Officers Judy & Amanda and the Savara Crew who were assisting in the tower. It was a very long night by the time we all eventually made it back into the marina.

10th Anniversary of Keelboat Racing at SBSC
Safety Beach Sailing Club has always enjoyed a celebration so this is a great opportunity to do it all again on Friday 14th February. We have faced many challenges during our 53 years but I don't recall ever having such a difficult season for weather. We will not be beaten and have vowed to award the Mustang Sally Anniversary Perpetual Trophy to a deserved recipient so lets all pray for some great weather and we look forward to seeing you all out on the water this Friday or back at the club to continue the celebration.
Sail Peninsula 2020 is almost HERE!
Sail Peninsula is getting very close! We need your support by entering this regatta as we really need the numbers to make this regatta a financial success for the club and to justify all the work the members put in to make this regatta the success it’s been to date. The format has been changed so each of the 3 races is a stand alone race with its own sponsor and prizes, this takes the pressure off having to have aggregate success. The racing is easy to complete with a minimum of crew so everyone has a great time and an opportunity of a podium finish.
PLEASE enter and join us for fun sailing not to mention the great food and entertainment on offer.
Get behind this and YOUR club and make sure you get your entry in before the entry fee increases on the 15th February.
To enter please go to the SP2020 Registration Page.
Even if you are not sailing in the regatta come along to the club for some great dining and entertainment. ALL Members are welcome. See all the details below.
