Yard Storage

Members seeking to store a watercraft (mono hull, cats, kayak, paddleboard, etc) in the SBSC Yard must submit a ‘Storage Application Form’ to Committee every Yard Storage Season.

Summer Storage is from 1st October to 30th April.

Winter Storage is from 1st May to 30th September.


2016/17 Summer Yard Storage

Current Summer Storage Members that are not applying for Winter Storage are being asked to remove their crafts, masts & sails from the club by Sunday 30th April. Members are asked to understand that another craft may be allocated to their current location for the winter, so it is imperative for a smooth transition that outgoing craft do not delay their removal.


16.17 Winter Yard Storage Application are now Open.

Please understand that there is a very high demand on the yard for allocations. Priority is given to Sailing Craft because we are a Sailing Club. Non-sailing craft members may apply however we only have a very small number of spaces.

When applying please note:

1.            Members must be 2016/17 season financial with SBSC prior to applying.

2.            Priority is given to this season’s club racing sailing craft.

3.            SBSC storage is only for crafts being used; if a craft with approved allocations is unused the member will be asked to remove it with no refund.

4.            Provide all required insurance details, all stored craft must be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of $5,000,000 for the duration of the storage.

No Craft should be in the Yard without the Yardmaster’s approval. Unidentified craft will be removed.
