SAFETY BEACH

SAILING CLUB

Keelboat News – 27th Feb 2017

SBSC Sail Numbers:

By now I am sure that you have been seeing plenty of boats sporting an SB sail number and very attractive Red Dolphin burgee and been wondering how do I get me one of them!!

It is easy – you just have to ask!!

If you are interested please send us an email (to keelboat@sbsc.net.au) with a few SB Sail Number preferences and we will then respond confirming your SB sail number.

For those that also wish to also have this number on their VicRoads registration we are able to provide details on how to go about this along with the letter that needs to be given to VicRoads to confirm that you are a registered SBSC vessel.

As soon as we sight your yacht with its new SB number then we will hand over the burgee for you display on your boat with pride.

AMS

We now have a solid fleet of very competitive boats with AMS measurement certificates and hoping to see more of our fleet competing in the AMS division.

If you would like to get your boat measured please contact our AMS Measurer, George Bulka on gbulka4@gmail.com or 0415 776 145

George will be more than happy to provide any information or assistance required to get you all measured up.

While we are on the subject of AMS it is always nice to give our SBSC sailors a pat on the back so we would like to congratulate Peter Russell and the crew of Wild Goats who won their AMS division at the hotly contested Festival Of Sails recently held at Geelong.  We had quite a few boats competing at Geelong this year so well to everyone for representing SBSC at this event.

March Long Weekend Cruise

Safety Beach SC is going to Queenscliff for the Labour Day Weekend departing on Saturday 11th March and returning to Martha Cove on Monday 13th  March.

Our Cruise Director, Barry Tanner, is hoping to get plenty of starters from SBSC and is aiming to get the gang together to enjoy some joint activities so he needs to hear from you ASAP if you are planning to join in.

These weekends are normally heaps of fun and the more the merrier so if you are at a loose end or looking for an excellent way to spend the March Long Weekend please get in touch with Barry directly at barry@bartanassoc.com.au or 5987 2111 – we need to hear from you sooner rather than later as we need to know numbers before things can be organised.
